Shakira’s ongoing run of concerts in Madrid delivered one of its most talked-about moments yet when British pop star Dua Lipa walked out unannounced to join her for a performance of “Antología,” one of the Colombian singer’s most beloved songs.
Before introducing her guest, Shakira told the crowd it was an honor to sing a song that means so much to her alongside an artist she admires and who is adored around the world. When Dua Lipa appeared, the two embraced, and Shakira joked that she needed someone to pinch her, asking who this “goddess” standing beside her was.
Although the two singers have long exchanged friendly messages on social media and praised each other publicly, this marked the very first time they performed together in person. Dua Lipa had actually sung “Antología” once before, during a 2025 concert in Bogotá, but doing it this time with the song’s own writer, in front of a Madrid audience, gave the moment extra weight.
The concert was livestreamed on Amazon, allowing fans well beyond the venue to witness the duet in real time. Dua Lipa’s cameo adds to a string of special guest appearances during Shakira’s four-weekend residency in the Spanish capital, part of her “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” world tour, which has already featured Laura Pausini, Alejandro Sanz, and Manuel Turizo. With more shows ahead, fans are already wondering who might turn up next.
