Mexico’s Farmacias Similares, a nationwide pharmacy chain famous for its cuddly mascot Dr. Simi, has expanded its plush toy collection with two new characters straight out of a galaxy far, far away. The company just unveiled figures inspired by Yoda, the wise and diminutive Jedi master, and Chewbacca, the towering, furry Wookiee co-pilot from the Star Wars films.
The plush toys blend Dr. Simi’s signature look—a friendly, oversized pharmacist figure that has become a pop-culture icon in Mexico—with unmistakable details from the two Star Wars characters, giving fans and collectors a fresh reason to add to their collections.
This isn’t the first time Disney and Farmacias Similares have joined forces. Earlier collaborations brought Dr. Simi versions dressed as Jedi Knights, as well as Pixar favorites Woody and Buzz Lightyear from the Toy Story franchise.
The new toys were officially introduced by Víctor González Herrera, executive president of Farmacias Similares, alongside Alfonso Cortina, who leads country operations and retail for The Walt Disney Company in the region. The partnership underscores how Dr. Simi has evolved from a simple pharmacy mascot into a full-fledged collectible brand with crossover appeal.
