South Park fans will need extra patience this year. The animated comedy’s 29th season kicked off on September 16, 2026, but instead of the show’s more typical weekly rhythm, new episodes are dropping every two weeks, stretching the season all the way into November.
The season premiered on Comedy Central in the United States before making its way to Paramount+, the streaming service where it becomes available in the various international markets that carry it.
This run will include six episodes total, one more than each of the previous two seasons, which had five apiece. Comedy Central released the full schedule ahead of the premiere, so viewers already know exactly when each new installment will land and when the season will wrap up.
The show, created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, has built a reputation over more than two decades for skewering current events and public figures with irreverent humor, and this season is reportedly continuing that tradition, including pointed jokes aimed at political figures. The longer gap between episodes marks a shift from the show’s usual pace, giving fans more time to react to and discuss each new chapter before the next one arrives.
